CEPI was born on February 29, 1968: with act no. 5874 in front of the notary Vegezzi and with the participation of 20 small and medium-sized companies, the activity of the Piacenza Exporters Consortium CEPI begins. Born on the impulse of the Chamber of Commerce, the organization saw as its first board of directors the first president Giovanni Casalini and the entrepreneurs Romano Bisi, Giuseppe Conni, Pietro Guglielmetti, Guido Mazzari, Aldo Peveri, Savino Sargiani, Pierfrancesco Sbrana, Albino Schiavi and Alfredo Mazzoni.

Since then, CEPI unites small and medium-sized Piacenza enterprises that work with foreign markets, mainly associating Piacenza manufacturing industry: mechanics, mechatronics, oil & gas, energy, lifting, construction, chemicals, plastics, are just some of the reference industries of our local economy around the world.
As in 1968, our motto is still today "together we go far"
